Friends of Bowmansgreen Primary School

Forthcoming Events

FOBS – Cauliflower Cards Your child/ren have once again got the opportunity to design their own greetings cards. This could be for Christmas, Eid, New Year or any other occasion. If you would like to order your design as a card (or gift tag) Bowmansgreen School will receive £1 for each pack of cards ordered. We know that in the past children, parents and carers have enjoyed having a unique card that they can send to family / friends. Please follow the steps below if you would like to order your child’s design as a card: 1) Design the picture on paper and attach with glue to the attached form. 2) Complete the attached paperwork (steps 1-4) detailing what you would like to order. 3) Return the completed form to school by Tuesday 31st October, with full payment by cheque (made payable to Bowmansgreen School) or in cash (correct payment only – no change will be given)

At our last FOBS meeting we agreed to allocate fundraising to the following:

  • £1200 for Musical instruments/resources/including £600 for a whole class set of African drums.
  • £500 for Sport which includes a team kit for girls, match netballs, 4 sets of Bowmansgreen sports tops which can be used by all sports when they represent the school at events.
  • The defibrillator has been ordered and we hope to receive it in the next couple of weeks.

We are also looking at:

  • A new mosaic for the front entrance of the school.
  • The possibility of helping contribute towards leavers hoodies for the Year 6 children.
  • We are in the process of getting quotes for the KS1 playground for the area around the sandpits, looking into the possibility of artificial grass and then replacing the sand and purchasing covers and equipment for use in the sandpits.
  • Reception has requested a new shed to keep the play equipment in and we are looking into this.
