EYFS Blog

We would like to start off by thanking families for the kind donations for our outside area. We have been able to create a mud kitchen which our children have loved using, to make mud pies and cakes. We have also created a brilliant small world area with our tyres, some plants and artificial grass. The children have really enjoyed using the tyres and the dinosaurs to make up stories. We are now in the process of designing a reading area, with the wonderful tree stumps that were donated.
We finished our topic of ‘Food’ by planting lots of vegetables and we are hoping that we will be able to try some produce, by the end of the year. So far they are growing well!
This half-term, our topic is ‘Let’s Pretend’ where we will be using our imagination to create stories and settings.
Some of the books we will be enjoying are ‘Not a Box,’ ‘Billy’s Bucket’ and ‘Blue Balloon.’ We are sure the children will come home with lots of interesting and imaginative versions that they have created at school, to share with you.
Thank you for all of your support.
