Bowmansgreen is a happy, inclusive and welcoming community school where every pupil is valued and encouraged to participate fully in all aspects of school life. We are committed to ensuring that all pupils have access to a broad and ambitious curriculum, as well as the wider enrichment opportunities that make school life exciting and meaningful.
Our school vision drives us to be proactive and persistent in identifying and removing barriers to learning. We work to ensure that no pupil is disadvantaged or excluded from fully participating in school life because of their individual circumstances or needs.
We are committed to providing a curriculum and learning environment that meets the individual needs of all our pupils, including vulnerable pupils, those with SEND, pupils who are gifted and talented, and children who are looked after. We recognise that every child is unique and may require different approaches, support or adjustments to help them flourish.
Quality-first teaching is at the heart of our approach. We strive to provide the right support at the right time so that every pupil can make progress, develop their confidence and achieve their individual goals. For some pupils, additional or targeted support may be needed alongside high-quality classroom teaching. Where appropriate, we make reasonable adjustments and provide additional provision to ensure that pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) can access learning, participate fully and reach their potential.
Our aim is simple: to ensure that every pupil feels included, supported and able to succeed at Bowmansgreen.
SEND Information
Our SEND Information Report provides information about the support, provision and opportunities available at Bowmansgreen for pupils with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND).
We are committed to ensuring that pupils with SEND are fully included in school life and receive the support they need to thrive and achieve their potential.
PINS Project
For the past two years, Bowmansgreen has been proud to take part in the Partnerships for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools (PINS) Project.
PINS is a national initiative designed to strengthen support for neurodivergent children in mainstream schools. The project brings schools and local partners together to develop more inclusive approaches, increase understanding of neurodiversity and improve outcomes for children with SEND.
