My name is LizAnn Petch: I have been a co-opted Governor since February 2018 and am delighted to become more involved in the Bowmansgreen community. I joined Bowmansgreen twelve years ago and worked for three years as a Learning Mentor, setting up the Sunshine Room. I then helped in various year groups and now volunteer each week, helping Mr Harnden on Ecodays. I thoroughly enjoy going on trips to Airbus and Agrivert, helping the children look after the chickens and work in the allotment garden and pond area. I now welcome the opportunity as a Governor to support the school in other ways, upholding its values and vision for all pupils to flourish, succeed and achieve their potential.

Y4 Football Team
What a pleasure it was to watch the Y4 football team play their match this afternoon! Not only did they win their game 4-2 but each and every player gave 100% on the pitch and they played really well as a team. Archie, Max, Harry, Brendon, Lennon, Olivier, Jed and Mikail, you were fantastic – I’m looking forward to the next match!
Year 6 Home Learning
We would like to say a fantastic well done to Harry in 6HW for an amazing piece of Home Learning., which was to write a food diary during rationing in WWII.
Mrs Wood has commented that she hadn’t expected to receive such an entertaining and engaging piece of writing.

Year 4 Home Learning
Year 4 are excelling themselves with the quality of home learning that they are handing in. I have been so impressed with the standard and creativity over the last couple of weeks and they should be very proud of their efforts. Jasmine and Csanad produced two very different models for their home learning this week, supporting their science topic of rocks, soils and fossils. Fantastic work!
The Power of One
Thank you to The Power of One Anti-Bullying show for helping Bowmansgreen to mark National Anti-Bullying Week 2018, focusing on the theme ‘Choose Respect.’ The performance delivered some powerful messages about standing up to bullying, through a series of scenarios and discussions.
