Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Bowmansgreen is happy, inclusive, community school. We aim to ensure that all pupils are included in every aspect of the curriculum and school life and encourage all pupils to fully take part, including in wider, additional, enrichment opportunities. Our school vision requires us to be proactive and persistent in putting in place safeguards and removing any barriers to learning that might hinder or prevent progress or exclude pupils from fully participating.  We are committed to providing a curriculum that meets the individual needs of all learners, including vulnerable, gifted and talented, looked-after children and pupils with SEND.

School rules: ‘Be kind, be safe, be respectful’

School vision: ‘For all pupils to flourish, succeed and achieve their potential’

We strive to support all pupils to enable them to succeed at school. In order to do this, steps are taken to support them through their learning journey and school career. Quality teaching is vital; however for some children there are occasions when further, additional support may be needed to help them achieve their targets and goals.  These children may have a special educational need or disability (SEND) and require an adjustment to the provision to enable them to fulfil their potential.
