Tag Rugby
A highly entertaining Saracens Tag Rugby Festival at Harpenden Rugby Club on Thursday was the highlight of the week so far.  The team played some superb rugby with the ball in hand but also produced some sensational “tagging”, especially by Natasha who threw herself everywhere to stop the opposition scoring.
Other team’s supporters commented on how well the team played with and without the ball, and considering that little practice was had and that some hadn’t played before, they learned extremely quickly!!
The quick passing and movement meant that Bowmansgreen came away unbeaten in a non -competitive Festival, which was against the best sides from the bigger schools in Harpenden.
2-0 v Breachwood Green
3-1 v St Dominic’s
3-1 v Wood End
3-2 v The Grove
4-4 v Crabtree – although I thought it was 5-4.
Squad – Taye, Zak, Jack, Alfie, Zeph, Tobi, Natasha, Emily, Kyeesha.
Girls B v Margaret Wix
On Wednesday the Girls B team went to play Margaret Wix and produced a superb hard working performance. Playing against an A team was always going to be hard work but the determination of the girls to keep going meant that the final score was 0-0.
Superb by all of the girls.
Team – Emily, Natasha, Jamyie, Abbi, Bianca, Ria, Kiera, Anisa, Jacey.
